code enforcement; geographic information services (GIS)
and acts as staff liaison for the Planning and Zoning Commission.
The Commission is responsible for the following:

Encroachment Permits
Home Occupation Permits
Landscape/Site Plan Reviews
Variance Permits
Development in the Townsite Historic District
Acts in advisory capacity to the City Council on the
following:
Kenai Zoning Code and Kenai Zoning Map amendments
City and airport land lease or sale petitions
Capital Improvement Projects Program
Comprehensive Plan
Acts in advisory capacity to the Kenai Peninsula Borough
for:
Subdivision Plat proposals
Right-of-way and easement vacation petitions
