OUR MISSION STATEMENT:
The Kenai Fire Department is dedicated
to safeguarding the lives, property, and environment of our community
through exceptional services in education, preparedness, prevention
and response to emergency incidents.
The Kenai Fire Department is responsible
for fire protection, emergency medical services, hazardous material
response, and related emergencies within the Kenai City Limits and
the Kenai Municipal Airport. The department is also responsible for
non-emergency functions including fire investigations, code enforcement,
fire inspections, and fire safety and injury prevention programs within
the community.
Fifteen (15) uniformed personnel and
one (1) administrative assistant staff the department. Members provide
professional emergency services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for
the citizens of Kenai.
The Kenai Fire Department's vehicle
apparatus consists of three Class A structural fire engines, one
95' aerial platform, two aircraft rescue fire fighting vehicles,
one squad truck, two fully equipped ALS ambulances, one staff vehicle
and one Chief's command vehicle.
A three-year run comparison shows
that the department averaged 217 fire related emergencies, and 540
emergency medical/rescue related incidents each year.
Because of the department's high professional standards, the City
of Kenai is currently rated ISO CLASS 3.

Members of the Department are experienced professionals with a

other in a way that honors dignity, mutual respect and diversity.

collaboratively with firefighters and citizens to address education,
prevention and other activities.

for connecting the department with the community and vise-versa.

have a passion for a safe community and are diligent in pursuing
this goal. They are willing and able to think & be creative, and
work independently in a direction related to our mission and vision.
